: Now that students are back in their classroom what did they learn?

Time: 60 minutes

Location: OIndoors

Learner Outcomes:

  1. Students will be able to define the scientific method and how it is used to help scientists understand scientific principles.
  2. Students will be able to make and test a prediction .


Materials

  1. Presentation Boards
    Graph Paper
  2. Crayons, Markers, Paints
  3. Pictures taken in the field
  4. Notes

Preparation

  1. Have students use the information they collected at the Wetland to prepare a presentation for their classmates.
  2. Have students present their findings

Do . . .

  • Have students get with their groups and prepare a presentation.
  • Have student group present their presentations to the rest of the class.

Discuss . . .

  • Were our predictions right?
  • Why do you think the pond/river has the most bugs?
  • Which one has the most diversity in terms of insects?
  • Which one has more food for birds?
  • How many bird types are there? Why?
